Can I see an example of your work to make sure it’s what I need?
Yes - simply email us a sample document to be checked (maximum length 800 words) and we will proofread / edit it for you completely free of charge! One reason for our making this offer is that we are very confident that you’ll be happy with the service; it also gives us the chance to provide an accurate quotation for your future requirements.
Surely it doesn’t really matter if my text is absolutely correct?
This is often true, but it’s all a question of context. If you’re rattling off an email to your friend, of course it doesn’t matter if you’ve spelt “cinema” wrongly, or missed an apostrophe. However if you’re applying for a job, submitting a university dissertation, trying to get published as an author, or writing the text for your company’s website, it’s much more important to get it right.
It’s all about three golden rules of presentation - your writing should be accurate, it should be clear, and it should be professional.
It’s true - some people couldn’t care less about grammar, spelling and punctuation, but a lot of people (possibly including your potential customers, employers or examiners) see these things as extremely important. Why put yourself at a disadvantage by producing less than perfect text?
Why should I pay a proofreader when I can do it myself?
There are a couple of problems with doing your own proofreading. Firstly, because you’ve written the text in the first place, you know what you expect to see, and your brain will automatically “read” what it expects to find, failing to spot any errors.
Secondly, if you’ve made a mistake that you don’t know is wrong, no amount of checking by you will ever pick it up. You need an independent expert to assess your writing for you.

How can I send my file to you?
Simply go to the Submit Work page and upload your document.
What file formats do you accept?
Microsoft Word has the best features for editing and proofreading, so we always recommend Word
.doc or .docx format where possible. However, other file types can be accepted;
if you want to send another format please
contact us first to make sure we can handle it.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by Paypal to
payments@rightwriting.co.uk, or by sterling cheque or bank transfer. Full details are sent with your invoice.
Will you re-write my work or just correct the obvious errors?
First and foremost we will correct any errors in your document, but we will also perform light editing as appropriate (for example making changes to word order and sentence construction to make the document flow more naturally, or to make better sense). If more substantial re-writing is required, this of course affects the price charged, and in this case we would discuss terms with the client before doing any work on the document.
Do you deal with documents in foreign languages?
International clients are more than welcome, but we can only accept documents in English.
